The heart of Dass Woodcrafts and Creations began with one man and his passion. Born in Ladang Tuan Mee, Ijok, Selangor, Mr. Mogana Dass was raised in a humble estate setting where hard work and resilience were part of everyday life. After marrying and settling down in Kapar, Selangor, he built his life with his loving wife and raised two children, a daughter and a son while nurturing his dream.

Mr. Mogana Dass was drawn to the rhythm of tools and the soulful scent of timber. With nothing but raw talent and a deep love for traditional craftsmanship, he taught himself the intricate art of handcrafted woodwork. Over the years, his hands transformed plain wood into meaningful, timeless pieces.

In 1996, he established Nanthaa Zurree Wood Craft a humble workshop born from dedication and dreams. In the early years, he operated out of Subang, running his first factory. Those years were filled with tireless days and quiet sacrifices. But the dream didn’t stop there. Around 2011, with growing demand and a desire to expand, Mr. Dass shifted operations to a larger and more permanent space in Desa Coalfield, Sungai Buloh. Through skill, precision, and consistency, his signature handcrafted Hindu prayer altars gained recognition for their spiritual elegance and intricate beauty. Guided by discipline, integrity, and a deep sense of service, he built more than a business, he built a legacy of devotion through design. These creations weren’t just furniture, but functional expressions of culture, devotion, and heritage. Even today, every creation at Dass Woodcrafts and Creations carries his original spirit — honest, handcrafted, and timeless.
